Your tasks:
The continuous development of our IT landscape is a central component of our digital transformation. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will design the underlying technical infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing and building our Kubernetes-based hosting platform as a hybrid cloud, thereby creating the future basis for many of our applications. Working closely with our IT teams, you will document and maintain systems related to testing, deployment, and orchestration of cloud-native applications. You will actively contribute your experience and ideas in the areas of administration, security, and development, and work as part of a team on exciting projects.
- Design and development of a cloud-native hosting platform based on Kubernetes for internal and external use
- Operation and maintenance of our hybrid cloud platform, including continuous development
- Creation and maintenance of comprehensible infrastructure documentation
- Further development of our DevOps processes
- Support and training of other employees in the areas of cloud-native and infrastructure as code
- Development and maintenance of monitoring and observability solutions
Your profile:
- Completed degree, training, or comparable qualification in the IT field
- Experience with container orchestration and security engineering (especially disaster recovery) with a focus on cloud platforms
- In-depth knowledge of Linux server administration and confident configuration and infrastructure management
- Enthusiasm for collaboration and open source, as well as good knowledge of common public clouds (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong documentation skills and interest in the further development of our DevOps processes
- Familiarity with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitLab, Argo CD, Woodpecker CI)
- Enjoy working in a team and strong communication skills combined with fluent business English
